CORROSION INHIBITOR

Reasons for Using Corrosion Inhibitor

Methanol gasoline will generally absorb a small amount of water during the process of production, storage and transportation. Also, there will be a small amount of methanoic acid or oxymethylene being generated in the combustion process. These substances accelerate the oxidation rate of gasoline and will inevitably cause metal corrosion, resulting in the reduction of equipment life and other extremely costly problems.

Our Corrosion Inhibitor CK356C is miscible in water and has no effect on downstream devices. After adding CK356C to the top of the refinery system towers, emulsification can be eliminated by forming a thin and stable film with strong corrosion resistance.

Typical Physical Properties

Density, kg/l@20C0.97
Viscosity, mm^2/s@40C<100
Solidification point,C3
Flash Point(closed cup), C22

Dosage

Usually, Northshore CK356C’s recommended treat rate is from 5 to 20 ppm.

Cestoil’s engineers will comprehensively evaluate the fuel status and the user‘s needs, then give customers an optimized recommended treat rate.

Handling and Storage

Northshore CK356C can be added at the refinery, either as a concentrated or diluted solution using a dosing pump. Adding point is at the top of the volatile pipeline or return pipe.

Northshore CK356C should be stored in a cool place and have suitable labeled container, away from heat and sources of ignition, have appropriate fire extinguishers available in and near the storage area.

Before handling, storage or use, see Safety Data Sheet for detailed information.
